Effath Yasmin is the founder of Nourish & Nurture Lactation Care & Parenting Solutions, a pursuit to becoming an outreach center for mothers and families who are seeking professional lactation support. She found herself transitioned naturally into a profession that enriches her role of a mother of 4 year old Zaara. Yasmin shows deep passion and zeal for attaining knowledge, understanding and competency of the role of a being a 'Mother' just as she did for her corporate profession earlier. She naturally saw a calling and a desire to help other mothers in their journey of motherhood. Yasmin fervently pursued to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant specialising in clinical management of breastfeeding. She works towards providing high quality of care integrating in her plan of care approaches of nutrition, lifestyle and draws outcome from referred treatment therapies such as homeopathy, craniosacral therapy, acupressure, physiotherapy, and hypnotherapy towards solving and managing breastfeeding issues. Yasmin insists in recognising & acknowledging the psychosomatic factors & the impact of birth trauma in breastfeeding issues.

She is very passionate about her role as an accredited Le Leche League Leader (www.llli.org) providing support and counselling to hundreds of mothers over the past years. She has set up a LLL Pan-India group & LLL Pan-India Library offering over 50 titles to mothers across many cities in India. She is also very enthusiastic about her affiliation with International Baby Food Action Network (IBFAN ASIA - www.ibfanasia.org) and applaud the work of IBFAN to promoting better standards of food for infants and young children. Yasmin supports and volunteer a significant amount of her time for the mission of Breastfeeding Promotion Network of India (BPNI – www.bpni.org) and Birth India (www.birthindia.org) for the cause of educating women of their childbirth choices and the direct impact it has on breastfeeding.

Yasmin also advocates compliance to the law of International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes & Infant Milk Substitute (IMS) Act. This framework of law ensures protection and promotion of breastfeeding worldwide and ensures regulation of the marketing of breastmilk substitutes, bottles and teats.

Aaraty Mehta MFA

Aaraty is the doting mother of 2 year old Saira, based in Mumbai. She is a passionate advocate of long-term breastfeeding and attachment parenting, and currently keen to pursue a course in Child Psychology.

Aaraty also has an under graduate degree from Sophia Polytechnic in Mumbai where she completed her BFA (Bachelor in Fine Arts) in Advertising, Illustration & Graphic Design and a masters degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where she completed her MFA in 3D Animation & Computer Art in 2003.

Aaraty has worked in the animation industry at Midway Amusement Games in Chicago, Rhythm & Hues in Mumbai, as well as Ittina Animation Studios and the Takshaa Academy of Art in Bangalore.

She will use her two and half years of experience with attachment parenting to add value to the parenting programs under 'Nourish & Nurture Guide'.
