I will share my experiences as a clinician who works with young children and adolescent children and many adults as well who come for Craniosacral treatment. The narrative needs to be widened from just pros and cons of the use of technology to what does the human body experience. ‘Learning’ is not a brain activity alone (it will still give an output bcos brain is like a computer processing unit that will always result in an output so if we have ‘1+2’ it will give you some result ‘3’. It is a linear algorithm processing. what it does not know to do is make an algorithm which is why our scientific quest for AI (Aritificial Intelligence). ‘Human’ Intelligence is not linear at all and the only way it can be developed is by letting your ‘body’ learn with human interaction and contact. There are billions of neurons and microchip memory storage in each cell of human body and every learning experience must store away in billions of these cell and when we draw from the experience it is rich and algorithmic in nature which allows us to process life in non linear fashion. If its is linear our nervous system goes through what is called chronic stress that leads to as you know 100s of diseases and leads to anxiety and depression which is what we see prevalent in current generation. A child can be termed brilliant bcos he learned a piano from youtube but the child’s nervous system is not designed to absorb and process this direct information without human interaction and leaves them with neuro pathways that dont have completed circuitry. But bcos it is data fed into the brain it will throw 1+2=3 as a result and yes a child will learn and produce an output. We see that in ‘brain’ training programs designed to target babies and young child and some even in pregnancy!
One such is what is the highlight in the article shared here that our cortex thins away physically in our brains. First 15 to 20 years of our life we are designed to primarily ‘body’ learn. Non ‘body’ learning without human interaction is like linear processing. We could surely become brilliant machines this way. Human beings are meant to be nonlinear ‘human’ in nature.
